This is a yummy, moist banana bread recipe. It is especially good with chocolate chips!

Wholesome Banana Bread
1 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup of flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup of wheat germ
3 tbsp melted shortening
1 tsp baking soda
3 ripe bananas, mashed (I always use more for added moistness & flavour)
chocolate chips (optional, to taste)

Blend sugar and egg
Sift flours, wheat germ and baking soda
Add flour mixture to egg mixture, blend
Add melted shortening, blend
Add mashed bananas, blend
Turn into a greased loaf pan
Bake at 325 to 350 for about 1 hour.
* Note that toothpick will not come out clean unless you have over-baked the bread.
